Jersey Fresh II

Our organic vegetable garden is rapidly growing thanks in part to frequent rainfall we are having in NJ this year.
We started the process last fall, conditioning the soil with compost, (generously provided by our horses) managing unwelcome visitors moving in for the winter with organic pesticides, then in the midst of winter we started our seedlings indoors.
We brought them out after the danger of frost passed(May 15)
We have planted asparagus, peppers, potatoes, spinach, dill, lettuces, tomatoes, beans, corns, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, garlic, onions, eggplants, sweet potatoes, sweet peas, arugula, beets, fennel, cucumber, squash, grapes, apples, nectarines, plums, peaches, cherries and broccoli.
The summer sun will ripe them all!!! and we all be sharing the goodness from the garden! mmmmmmmm farm life is good!
Thanks www.michaelpollan.com for letting us see the light.
